Destination of the Month - Cheshire

Arley Hall & Gardens

Modern life can be pretty hectic. So when it all gets too much, make a beeline for leafy Cheshire.

Time to pamper your taste buds. Cheshire is famed for its food and drink, and along with countless colourful farmers’ markets piled high with field-fresh produce, you’ll discover gastro pubs galore and a host of exceptional restaurants.

For something a little less formal, visit the award winning Hollies Farm Shop in Tarporley, where you can feast your eyes upon the freshest, most succulent farm produce, food and drink sourced from just a few miles around.

And don’t miss one of the many food and drink festivals throughout the year, such as the Nantwich Food & Drink Festival in September. This gastronomic spectacular is brimming with local delicacies and demonstrations by the region’s finest chefs.

And so much more...

Cheshire’s gardens are rightly revered, and those with an interest in things horticultural will adore the remarkable Gardens of Distinction across the region. You can also join in our ‘Year of Gardens 08’ celebration, and take a peek in many magnificent Cheshire gardens hosting a year long calendar of festivals and events.

Then again, you could explore Cheshire’s waterways by boat…or cycle along towpaths and discover beautiful scenery, elegant bridges and welcoming waterside pubs… or simply enjoy a leisurely stroll through an enticing valley in some of England’s lushest countryside.

That’s Cheshire - an inspirational place for all the family.
